Relax, restore and support your wellbeing with personalised reflexology treatments
At Chiropractic & Wellbeing, we provide gentle, tailored reflexology sessions designed to help you unwind, release tension and support a greater sense of balance and relaxation. Our treatments are personalised to your individual needs and delivered in a calm, comfortable environment.
Reflexology is a form of complementary medicine which is wonderfully relaxing and uses shi-atsu (finger pressure) to reflex points found in the feet (or hands). Feet are predominantly used for treatment. These reflex areas correspond to all parts of the body and form a "map" of the body on the feet.
It brings about a state of deep relaxation and stimulates the body's own healing processes. This method has been used for thousands of years and is known to have been practiced in a similar manner by the ancient Egyptians and Chinese as well as other civilizations.
Benefits reported for a range of conditions (migraines, anxiety, sinus problems, hormone imbalance, cramps, fertility, digestive issues).
Treatment is in a private & comfortable room. The initial consultation will take approx (60 mins). The number of treatments will depend on the presenting condition and your goals.
Sensitivity of the feet varies but areas of the feet that are particularly imbalanced tend to show as increased tenderness in the related reflex areas on the feet. Julie will tailor the pressure accordingly — it should not be uncomfortable.
Occasionally the eliminating systems of the body become more active after treatment; the bathroom is nearby 🙂

frequently asked questions
During a reflexology treatment, a trained reflexologist applies gentle pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears that are believed to correspond with different areas of the body. Your appointment will usually begin with a consultation to discuss your health, lifestyle, and any areas of concern before your personalised treatment begins.
Reflexology is a calming, non-invasive therapy that aims to support relaxation, reduce stress, and promote a sense of overall wellbeing. Your reflexologist will tailor the treatment to your individual needs and ensure you feel comfortable throughout your session.
Yes, many people find reflexology deeply relaxing and enjoy it as a way to unwind and take time for themselves. The gentle pressure techniques used during a reflexology session can help encourage relaxation, ease tension, and support a greater sense of calm.
Many clients choose reflexology to help manage everyday stress, promote wellbeing, and enjoy a peaceful break from a busy lifestyle.
Reflexology should not be painful. Some areas may feel more sensitive than others, especially if there is tension or discomfort in the feet, but your reflexologist will always adjust the pressure to suit your comfort level.
Communication is encouraged throughout your treatment, allowing your session to be relaxing, comfortable, and tailored to your individual preferences.
For a reflexology appointment, it is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. As reflexology is commonly performed on the feet, you will usually only need to remove your shoes and socks, allowing your reflexologist easy access while you remain fully comfortable and relaxed.
A reflexology appointment typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the type of treatment and your individual needs. Your reflexologist will discuss the session length with you before treatment and ensure there is enough time to understand your concerns and provide a personalised experience.
The frequency of reflexology treatments depends on your personal goals, lifestyle, and how you respond to sessions. Some people enjoy regular reflexology appointments as part of their wellbeing routine, while others choose treatments when they feel they need time to relax and recharge.
Your reflexologist can recommend a suitable schedule based on your individual needs and preferences.
EXCELLENT Based on 24 reviews Posted on Google Becky StewartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Julie at the Shipston Chiropractor has helped me so much! I went to her with very bad pain in my lower back and shoulders after pregnancy and then carrying a baby everywhere! I had my initial consultation and then she suggested my treatment, she is very gentle and unlike a previous chiropractor I had visited. I am now nearing the end of the treatment and I am feeling so much better, I can sleep again!! Julie and Richard are both amazing and I would 100% recommend them if you’re looking for a Chiropractic help!Posted on Google Leanne CaseyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After years struggling with a crippling fear of flying I decided it was time to take action. After exhausting all other avenues I was recommended to make an appointment with Richard for Hypnotherapy. From our first phone call to our only hypnotherapy session I found Richard to be very friendly and straight away put me at my ease. Coming away after I felt very positive about my upcoming 8hr flight. Post flight I can honestly say it was the best decison I ever made! Not only did I get through the flight without a complete meltdown, I actually relaxed and enjoyed it. This is something I never thought would be possible in my lifetime. I’m now looking to book my next holiday…two world here I come!!Posted on Google Ruth GaleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If I could leave 10 stars I would! I came to see Julie at first because I was due a surgery through NHS, (carpal tunnel). I was really not up for it and felt like it was too early to do so and that I could use other practices before taking the surgery road. I'm now half way through the treatment plan Julie put up for my needs, and she had quite a lot to deal with! (Not only the one why I came at first!) I'm amazed how much it already made a difference. And she told me that my body is responding well, which is a great bonus! It had straighten my spine, giving me the great feeling of having better postures, soreness relief all over my body, a feeling of lighter members and joints. Really appreciated feelings without any doubts!! I will certainly recommend anyone to go to see Julie, she is professional, so knowledgeable and friendly 😃Posted on Google Charles CooperTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't recommend enough the quality of service and the change for me that Chiropractic and Wellbeing, Shipston-on-Stour has made. I work in construction and like to keep fit and active. When I first started coming I would wake up every morning with a stiffness in my back and often quite uncomfortable pain. Through the work that Julie has done I no longer suffer like I did. It's been a transformation and was 100% the right decision, I'm very grateful.Posted on Google R HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
