Chiropractic care in
Shipston-on-Stour

DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC: Julie

At Chiropractic & Wellbeing, we provide professional chiropractic care for people experiencing back pain, neck pain, joint discomfort, muscle tension and restricted movement. Based in Shipston-on-Stour, we welcome patients from the surrounding areas including Moreton-in-Marsh, Brailes, Hook Norton and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Will examine your spine for interferences and remove them using gentle, low force techniques called adjustments. This will remove tension in the nervous system that is often responsible for many of the common ailments experienced in modern life.

Chiropractic adjustments help the nervous system function more efficiently and improve brain function.

Chiropractic Techniques (some examples)

Drop Table, Chiropractic Technique, Chiropractic & Wellbeing, Shipston-on-Stour

Drop Table

This technique makes use of specialised drop piece mechanisms in the table to assist the adjustment. Individual cushions or “drop pieces” located along the table support each area of the spine until a gentle thrust is given. Each drop piece then gives way, reducing the pressure needed to move a specific spinal segment.

Blocks

This involves using blocks and gravity to gently traction joints to relieve tension on nerves and muscles. Brilliant for muscle spasm and lower back pain.

The Activator, Chiropractic Technique, Chiropractic & Wellbeing, Shipston-on-Stour

The Activator

The activator is a tool used to gently adjust vertebrae and relax muscles. It is ideal for elderly patients, children, nervous patients, and patient’s post-surgery.

Frequently Asked questions

A chiropractor helps people manage pain, improve movement, and support better overall health by focusing on the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. Through gentle hands-on techniques such as chiropractic adjustments, they can help relieve back pain, neck pain, headaches, and stiffness while improving mobility and function. Chiropractors also provide advice on posture, exercise, and healthy habits to help you feel your best and reduce the risk of future problems.

Chiropractic treatment may be suitable for many people looking to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support their overall wellbeing. Whether you’re experiencing back pain, neck pain, joint stiffness, muscle tension, headaches, or difficulty moving comfortably, a chiropractor can assess your condition and recommend the most appropriate care for your needs.

Your first appointment is a chance to discuss your concerns, understand your symptoms, and receive a personalised assessment in a comfortable and supportive environment. Your chiropractor will explain your treatment options clearly and only recommend care that is suitable for you. If chiropractic treatment is not the right approach, they can advise on the best next steps to help you move forward.

Many people are surprised by how gentle and comfortable chiropractic treatment can be. Your chiropractor will use techniques suited to your condition and explain each step before beginning treatment. Some patients may experience mild pressure, stretching, or temporary soreness, but treatment should not be painful.

Your comfort is always a priority, and your chiropractor will work with you to ensure your treatment is safe, effective, and tailored to your needs.

Chiropractic care is commonly used to help people experiencing musculoskeletal problems, including back pain, neck pain, joint stiffness, muscle tension, and issues affecting movement. Many patients also seek chiropractic treatment to improve flexibility, posture, and overall physical function.

During your assessment, your chiropractor will discuss your symptoms and determine the most suitable approach for your specific situation.

The number of chiropractic appointments you need depends on your individual condition, goals, lifestyle, and how your body responds to treatment. Some people notice improvements after a few sessions, while others may require a longer-term approach for ongoing support.

Your chiropractor will regularly review your progress and adjust your care plan to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

For your chiropractic appointment, it is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move easily. Your chiropractor may need to assess your posture, movement, and joints, so clothing that does not restrict movement can be helpful.
